Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Manager to lead our branding and communication efforts. This role involves managing our brand, designing print and digital content, overseeing social media, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure consistent and impactful communication. Your work will be crucial in supporting our mission and engaging our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Brand Management: Oversee the usage of our brand and educate staff on brand expectations.
• Print Collateral Design: Create newsletters, annual reports, brochures, invitations, appeal letters, business cards, promotional merchandise, and other print materials.
• Digital Content Production: Develop promotional videos, social media content, slide presentations, email blasts, blogs, and other digital content.
• Copywriting: Write copy for newsletters, social media, PSAs, press releases, and donor communications.
• Website Maintenance: Update and maintain all ministry websites in cooperation with the website provider.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the President/CEO, Finance staff, Philanthropy staff, and program directors.
• Communications Calendar: Manage the communications calendar in coordination with the Philanthropy department and strategize paper and electronic appeals for annual/monthly giving solicitations.
• Social Media Oversight: Supervise the Social Media Coordinator, review and approve all posts, and collaborate with program directors on social media strategy.
• Story and Photo Bank: Collect client, staff, and donor stories, and maintain an expanding story and photo bank.
• Event Collaboration: Work with the Special Events Coordinator to produce branded décor and runs of show for events.
• Digital Toolkits: Create digital toolkits for churches, businesses, small groups, and families to host events on behalf of the ministry.
• A/V Management: Oversee A/V for events, whether in-house or through a third party.
• External Agency Coordination: Work with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, print shops, and mailing houses.
• Budget Management: Oversee marketing and communication expenses within the annual communications budget.
• Media Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets to secure coverage for the organization’s events and initiatives.
• Crisis Communication: Prepare and manage communication strategies for potential crises, ensuring timely and effective responses.
• Performance Metrics: Track and report on the performance of communication strategies and campaigns, using data to inform future efforts.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a non-profit environment.
• Skills: Strong design, writing, and project management skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms, and content management systems.

• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple projects independently.
